"ISOBENT" is a hydro isolation membrane for underground isolation. The material
uses the feature of the bentonite to generate a water proof layer by increasing many times its volume
when getting into contact with water. "ISOBENT" is manufactured like a sandwich with three layers –
two geotextiles and a specially processed granulated bentonite in-between. During the membrane production
one provides for a robust binding between the separate layers which guarantees the keeping of a certain
thickness of the bentonite. The two outer layers are chosen in such a way that they allow a sufficient
mechanical robustness of the membrane in longitudinal as well as in transverse direction.
After moistening of the material it converts into a flexible hydro isolation membrane which rises and
fills up any cavities and caverns in the foundation. The only condition for obtaining of a quality hydro
isolation is to apply the material between the ground foundation and the construction body or between the
elements of the construction body which have a thickness not less than 10 cm and the area density is over 100 kg/m2.
The material Isobent is manufactured in sheets with standard width of 1.15 m and length of 5.0 m bound on rolls. The material is packed on pallets in lots of 35 pieces.
There should not be any roughness areas with plane dimensions not larger than 30 mm on
the foundation surface and with a depth not larger than10 mm.
In case the base is not a concrete
one, the earth base or the embankment has to be firmed by force at min. 95% of the maximum density determined
by Proctor. The base on which the hydro isolation membrane has to be laid can be wet but it should not have
plashes. There is no temperature limitation during the execution of the hydro isolation works, it is
recommended not to put layers when raining or snowing.
The mounting of the hydro isolation on the concrete base has to be undertaken not earlier
than 3 days after this foundation is laid, when there is an earth base or an embankment - after it has
been stamped.
"ISOBENT" is spread straight over the concrete put under or the earth
fundament. The sheets are not stuck on the fundament but they are laid freely over it. The separate
sheets of membrane overlap at min. 10 cm in longitudinal direction and at min. at 15 cm in transverse
direction. After arranging and laying of every sheet, "ISOBENT", on the places of overlapping
of the sheets a special bentonite strew "ISOFIX" is spread in quantity of min. 0.3 kg/m. The loose
bentonite strew guarantees the water impregnation of the overlapping.
In order to obtain a connection with the hydro isolation over vertical walls, the sheets of the hydro
isolation membrane in the peripheral areas are laid minimum 30 cm outside the foundation surface. These
"waiting" parts of the membrane provide for the connection of the hydro isolation under the foundations
with the one on the walls.
The processes concerning the spreading of the hydro isolation and
the following reinforcement construction and concrete laying are executed within a short term.
After the foundations and the basement walls are covered, the "waiting" sheets from the
membrane, looking out at 30 cm, are lifted vertically and mechanically fixed to the concrete surface.
The hydro isolation of the vertical walls is executed by laying of "ISOBENT" over the outer side
when keeping following requirements: The hydro isolation is put on the walls from the top down - the
membrane is attached mechanically in the upper end and rolled down to the connection place with the
"waiting" membrane sheets which come out from the foundation. The fitting together of the separate
sheets must be not less than 15 cm in longitudinal and in transverse direction.
The vertically
laid membrane parts are fixed mechanically using steel nails (3 pieces/m2 at least). The nails are located
mainly in the overlapping areas and are put at about 30 cm distance longitudinally. The membrane is nailed
in the sections (between the joints) in the concave parts in such a way that it follows the foundation
surface. When spreading of the material there must not be any air gaps between the hydro isolation and the foundation.
"Isobent - Large" is hydro isolating membrane with dimensions to be chosen by the customer (max. 5 m width / 40 m length). The quantity of bentonite in square meter could be from 3,5 to 5 kg/m. Main areas for applications of this product are channels, ponds, depots for industrial waste, ground protection against pollution and etc.
"Isobent - Hard"a geosynthetic bentonite membrane represents a 2 in 1 product. On one the hand the product acts as Isobent – K, and on the other- additionally spread paste layer increases its waterproofing action. "Isobent - Hard" has a higher stability of sea- and electrolyte-active water. It is appropriate for hydroisolation of buildings which are in contact or close to the seaside.
"TI-ZERO" is a bentonite paste, which is used for insulation of vertical surfaces providing for a better stickiness and adhesion of
Isobent to concrete. Paste "TI-ZERO" creates a second layer of hydroisolation and increases many times the reliability of "Isobent".
"TI-ZERO" is manufactured by mixing bentonite with appropriate additions. Before usage "TI-ZERO" has to be diluted with water in
proportion 1:5 until achieving a paste-like mixture which has to be laid equally, on the places chosen for hydroisolation.
The product is to be used in industrial, civil and hydro technical construction.
Hydrostop a hydro isolating self rising stripe – a product which is designed to
guarantee water impermeability of working joints in construction structures. When in contact with water,
the bentonite clay hydrates and increases vastly its volume. The obtained gel generates pressure in
restricted spaces which reduces the water impermeability even in ages and cracks in the concrete.
Mounting of "HYDROSTOP"
In order to achieve full moisture sealing and isolation, "HYDROSTOP" in the form of a stripe is
mounted in joints in foundations and walls (concrete, metal) of constructions sites.
During mounting it is necessary not to allow any disturbing of the continuity of the stripe laying.
The hydro isolating bentonite stripe has to be laid in joints with a concrete cover of min. 8 cm due to
its rising and corresponding pressure in all directions.
The stripe fixing to concrete and metal is
executed with steel nails on every 30-40 cm in order to keep it away from coming out of place by concrete
laying and for good contact with the concrete.
The mounting is carried out easily without expensive
materials. The stripe is laid at any environmental conditions in joints with well sealed base.
"HYDROSTOP" is manufactured in the form of a stripe, would up in rolls with a certain length.
The production process and the ready for mounting product are harmless and ecologically clean.
The excellent technological parameters and the easy mounting method make it applicable like an isolation
material for joints in underground construction, hydro technical installations and in the civil construction works.

To solve the hydroinsulation problems arisen because of the effect
of some local factors by the hydroinsulation of different surfaces, was developed
the sealing elastic membrane "Hуdroprevent”. It is a ready-made elastic liquid
suspension produced on the base of acrylic polymer /liquid rubber/, fillers and sycatives.
Properties
The hydro-insulating elastic membrane “Hydroprevent” is a one component product with a paste-like consistency.
The dried and hardened coating of “Hydroprevent” has following main technical features:
- Resistant against atmospheric conditions
- Water resistant
- Temperature resistant from -30 to +80 ° С
- Vapor impermeability
- Crack resistant
- Long term elasticity
Application area
Performance of hydroinsulation of roofs, floors, terraces, balcony etc.
Hydro insulating protection of subterranean parts of buildings, walls of basements outdoors, hydroinsulation
under ceramic plates, window ledges, around chimneys etc.
Hydro insulating protection of metal surfaces (of aluminum. copper, zinc coated sheet etc.)
Repair and sanitation of old hydroinsulation coatings, including bitumen materials.
Appearance: white water polymer dispersion
рН-value: 8-9
Drying time at temperature above 23 ± 2 °С: to 24 hours
Water impermeability under pressure 2 kPa: minimum 72 hours
Specific prolongation: no less than 450 ± 50 %
Cohesion with the base after 192 hours:
- Concrete: 0,75 N/mm2
- Gas concrete: 0,9 N/mm2
- Bitumen: 0,6 N/mm2
Expenditure rate
To provide a dried and hardened coating with a thickness of 1,6 to 2,0 mm it is
necessary to use 2,5-2.8 kg /m2 „Нуdroprevent”.
The expenditure rate of reinforcing fabric is 1.1 m2/m2.
Preparing the bases for the application of "Нуdroprevent"
The bases on which will be performed hydro insulations with "Нуdroprevent" have to be enough steady,
dry and pure. When between the construction elements there are available cracks, unevenness or gaps, they
are filled with "Teracol cement ground coat", polyurethane foam or another suitable construction solution.
All fringes and angles are rounded with a radius at least 4 cm. Dust, loose particles, scuffs and other
impurities that impair the adhesion have to be removed manually or mechanically with a brush or compressed
air. The base may be washed with water without puddles left. The rest moisture of the worked on mineral bases
must not exceed 8 %. Before the execution of the hydro insulating coating it is recommended to prime the bases.
The primer on the base of „Нуdroprevent” is prepared at the place, by diluting the product with water in a
volume relationship 2:1, with continuous stirring to a homogenous mass with a suitable consistency is obtained.
The primer is laid manually using brushes with long and soft hairs and with long grips and is rubbed actively so
that it covers entirely the base surface. After the primer has dried for 6 to 8 hours depending on the temperature
and the moisture of the environment, the main hydroinsulation can start.
Specific requirements concerning
the worked on surfaces
The worked on bases (concrete, gas concrete, plasters etc.) –must have enough
thickness, to be smooth with even surface, without unfilled cracks and gaps. Metal and galvanized surfaces have to be
cleaned with a suitable solvent. Bases of bitumen materials – bubbles, waves, folds and unstuck roofing have to be
removed by cutting, pasting and removing of old mineral materials.
Immediately before usage each package is opened and is stirred actively (manually or with a mechanical stirrer)
to obtaining a liquid-plastic consistency suitable for work.
The single component elastic hydro insulation
"Нуdroprevent" is laid on the prepared surface without dilution usually in two layers with a brush, roller
or in mechanical way. Between the laying of the two layers should be a time period of 24 hours. It is recommended to
execute the hydro insulation during a dry weather and temperatures from +5 to +35 °С. To enhance the hydro insulation
coatings (in particular around chimneys, tubes, for angle protection etc.), is used a reinforcing layer of glass or
polyester veil.
The veil roll wound up tight on a cardboard or plastic tube, is laid over the base where the next
stripe has to cover the previous stripe by 5-10 cm. Before the roll, with a wide brush (or a mechanical disperser)
is laid a layer of „Нуdroprevent” with a thickness of 1 mm (ca. 1,5 kg/m2), and at the same time the roll is
unrolled and pressed so that the "Нуdroprevent" impregnates it and it pastes entirely to the base. Over the upper
surface of the pasted veil (fabric) is laid "Нуdroprevent" with a layer thickness of 1 mm.
The surface of the
completed hydroinsulation coating has to be even and with correctly shaped slopes. Water has to drain away completely
and shall not detain on smaller or bigger sections. The thickness of the hydroinsulation coating in dry condition
should not be less then 1,5 mm.
Caution!
It should be avoided to lay "Нуdroprevent" immediately before raining because before having dried the coating
is being carried away by the water. During each even very short work break, the brushes that are soaked with paste
have to be left in an container with water to avoid the drying of the hydro insulating product over them, that
makes them unfit for further usage. „Нуdroprevent” is washed away easily with water from the clothes, body and tools,
since it has not dried.
Plastic packing starting from 20 kg.
Durability: 12 months from production date in original closed packing at temperature from +5 to +35 °С.
Protect from freezing and direct sunlight.
"Hydroprevent +" represents a sealing membrane with higher percent content of main component,
which increases its elasticity and hardness to and improves its adhesion to concrete.
The main application – the hydrotechnical construction.
"Hydroprevent - Joint" is a waterproofing elastic membrane, which is used for isolation of dilatation joints. It has linear expansion of 150 %.
The injecting bentonite is a specially modified bentonite suspension designed to fill gaps, cracks and caverns
on purpose to stop the water.
Eco-inject use the properties of bentonite to increase considerably its volume upon contact with water. Тhe injected suspension in
closed area create a tension and become impenetrable for subterranean, atmospheric, sea- and electrolyte- active water.
The injecting of the suspension is performed by pressure vessel, through compressed air.
Application:
• Waterproofing of lift-shafts, basements, subterranean parts of buildings.
• Waterproofing of cracks in tunnels or fissures in their stone facing.
• Waterproofing of reservoirs (ponds) or leakage through cracks and joints around canal-locks.
• Filling of cracks in dykes and canals.
• Encapsulation of cracks in foundations of buildings.
